Kill Devil Hills, NC – June 21, 2021 – John Osborn’s Action Plumbing, a leading provider of plumbing services on the Outer Banks, announced today the celebration of 20 years in business for the company.
A sole proprietor working from his garage, John Osborn began building his business in December of 1999 and incorporated his business in June of 2001. Soon after, he hired his first employee and continued growing year after year, providing repair services and plumbing work for new construction and remodeling projects. In 2009, after making a slow recovery from the recession, Osborn moved out of the small space in his garage and moved Action Plumbing into a unit at OverSeas Professional Park in Kill Devil Hills.
As the business continued to grow and expand, Osborn needed office space for techs to prepare work orders, order parts and speak with customers, along with storage for an increasing inventory of materials. This brought them to a larger space in Ocean Commerce Park, where they operate today. In the spring of 2019, they occupied an adjacent space to provide 4000 square feet of warehouse for equipment, parts, and materials, and remodeled their 450 square-foot office.
Action Plumbing is known for being a fast, friendly group of experts who work hard to do a great job and keep their customers happy. Today John Osborn’s Action Plumbing has 12 employees; 6 technicians, a service manager, construction operations manager, customer service coordinator and accounting manager, along with son Alex, project manager, and Osborn’s wife, Lynn, who oversees daily operations.
To celebrate this outstanding accomplishment, and offer an expression of gratitude to the Outer Banks community, Action Plumbing will be donating 20% of all sales generated today to Feline Hope of the Outer Banks, a 501 (c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization that provides spay, neuter, and medical assistance to our community to enable owners to keep their pets.
