About Action Plumbing

Our Outer Banks plumbing company, Action Plumbing, was started in the winter of 1999. Through long hours of hard work, our plumbing company has grown out of a garage to 7 vans and a stocked shop. We service the Outer Banks area from Corolla to South Nags Head.

Our client base includes several popular management companies, as well as local and distant homeowners. We take care of multiple commercial clients as well. Contractors and builders use our services over and over as we have established ourselves as a detail-oriented, caring construction and remodel plumbing contractor.

Our relationships are built on one customer, one service call, one project at a time. Through dedication to quality, value, and trust, we have served our customers.

Founder and owner John Osborn: “We enjoy helping people solve their plumbing problems, it’s never a good time to have one. Solving problems is what we do. There is great satisfaction in helping a customer.”

Meet Our Team

John Osborn

Founder and owner of Action Plumbing, John relocated to the Outer Banks in 1994 and became a Master Plumber shortly thereafter. Construction, service and remodels, John does it all. “It’s all about helping people; that’s what I truly enjoy.” In his downtime, you can find him relaxing with his wife Lynn and their two cats, Simonetta and Leon. In the summer, they like to travel to Upstate New York to beat the heat and chill at the lake.

Jason Biggs

A transplant from Virginia, Jason brings some noteworthy credentials with him including a Master Plumber license & Medical Gas certification. With a background in new construction, Jason can sometimes be found on remodels & re-pipe projects. A family man, as he enjoys spending his off-hours with loved ones, going to the beach, or attending his son’s ball games.

Allyssa Cokley

After spending a few years on the Outer Banks back in the 80’s, Allyssa moved to South Carolina to raise a family and has now returned to the place she loves most! A graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family & Child Development, and a Master of Arts in Education from University of Phoenix, Allyssa is a people person with a can-do attitude; perfect for her role as Customer Service Coordinator II. Allyssa enjoys time with family, cooking, the great outdoors, and has recently discovered the joys of kayaking.

Luke Edmonson

Hailing from VA Beach, our service manager brings a lot to the table with his strong service skills. Luke also holds a degree from Norfolk Trade School. “Pretty much my whole career has been service work. I like problem-solving.” After hours, Luke enjoys kicking back, rooting for the Redskins, and visiting the mountains.

Danny Gautier

As Office Administrator, Danny comes to Action Plumbing with over 30 years’ experience in the wholesale plumbing industry. Married 18 years to wife Tracy, Danny has a daughter, Trish, and a beautiful granddaughter, Nori. When not holding down duties at Action Plumbing, Danny enjoys traveling, cooking, and time with family and friends. His true passion, however, is playing guitar; and he knows how to shred a guitar! You can see him in action when he’s playing with the local rock band, Trick Fly. We are thrilled to have Danny as part of the Action team.

Mike Iwicki

After working in plumbing for 7 years in the Baltimore area, Mike decided to relocate to the Outer Banks for a change of pace and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of beach living. Mike has a great sense of humor (a qualification in this field), and we are happy to have his talent and experience on the team. In his spare time, Mike likes to hunt and play video games.

Kal Lucke Jr.

Strutting in from Philly, this new member of the Action Plumbing team enjoys making pizza, playing video games, going to the gym, and grocery shopping at midnight. This enthusiastic young man says he’s very happy to be a part of the Action team as a Plumbing Apprentice.

Mike Megel

Mike recently relocated to the Outer Banks from Fairfax, VA. With over 20 years of plumbing experience behind him, Mike is certainly the man when it comes to plumbing service! In the office, we refer to him as ‘Magic Mike’ because he knows how to get the job done fast and efficiently and is a welcome part of the Action Plumbing team. In his spare time, Mike enjoys going to museums and looking for unique pieces of art to add to his collection.

Alex Osborn

Like father, like son, Alex has joined the world of plumbing! Helping out at an early age, he learned the basic principles. “I enjoy plumbing quite a bit and I get to work with my Dad every day. We make a great team.” In his off-hours, Alex likes to ride motorcycles, bicycles, and skateboards. He also plays a mean guitar.

James Waguespack

Rolling into the Outer Banks from Norfolk, VA. James joined the crew in 2017. Over 10 years in the trade, he enjoys repair and project work. “I like the challenges that come with service work. It makes you think.” When James is not working he likes the outdoors and riding his jet ski.

Shane Watson

Coming to us from Fredericksburg, Virginia with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Shane’s sunny disposition and passion for plumbing makes him a great addition to our team of service technicians. When Shane isn’t working, he enjoys spending time at the beach with his love, Danielle, and their two boys, Colby & Isaac.
