Action Plumbing is a full-service provider of all things plumbing on the Outer Banks. From service work and new construction to restoration and remodeling projects, we’ve got you covered.
Fixture and appliance replacements are our specialties! Whether you need a new water heater, an ADA compliant toilet, or just want to freshen up a kitchen or bath with new fixtures, we are the right professionals for the job. And we’re friendly and affordable!
Our goal is to provide you with excellent service, including on-time arrival and safe hygiene practices. Our technicians are trained, certified, and possess years of plumbing experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Strong relationships with builders, independent contractors, craftsmen, and skilled tradespeople here on the Outer Banks means we have a network of companies we work closely and dependably with to get your project completed in a coordinated fashion. Our familiarity with these resources allows us to offer you the best possible service and minimal interruption to your home or business.
Service work is often our main focus. We strive to help as many customers as we can on a daily basis. From the most common calls, such as leaky toilets and dripping faucets, to failed water heaters and clogged drains, we can handle it all.
We offer services on a multitude of household plumbing items that include, but are not limited to, toilets, tub and shower valves, kitchen faucets, disposals, water heaters (tank style or tankless), outside showers, spigots, mystery leaks and burst pipes. Whether it’s during business hours or after-hours emergency service, we are here for you when you need us!
Yes! Action Plumbing is your team for new construction jobs. We work with various popular builders and private home owners on projects of all sizes, ranging from the small 2 bathroom “Beach Box” to the 10+ bathroom “Monster.”
We can handle it all.
Communication is key and attention to detail is just as important in order to provide great results. Homeowners can provide their own fixtures or we can assemble a package to suit your needs. A “middle of the road” price is what we recommend as a starting point for fixture selections. We commonly recommend and install Kohler, Moen and Delta products because we feel that quality, name-brand products allow for better warranty claims and longevity in fixture life. Here at Action Plumbing we focus on quality over quantity when it comes to new construction projects. We build one home at a time using in-house resources, no subs, which helps us control the quality of our work.

Starting a remodeling project? You’ve come to the right place!
Updating your kitchen cabinets with new fixtures? Replacing a tub with a shower? How about adding a bathroom? These are 3 of the most common remodel projects Action Plumbing works on year-round.
As always, we work with private home owners and general contractors to help improve the comfort and convenience of your home. Of course, most renovation projects reveal a challenge or two along the way.
Our team loves solving problems and working together to deliver desired results and meet your expectations. We enjoy the home improvement process as much as you do (and maybe more!).
We work with many general contractors in the area to help restore and reconstruct damage done to your plumbing system. From simple jobs to more complicated projects, we can handle it all.
We re-pipe 6-8 properties per year on average. Re-pipe means to remove and/or bypass the current water pipe system and install a completely new one. Polybutylene pipe has a history of failure and if you have experienced multiple breaks we strongly recommend re-piping the system. We have the experience you need to get it done. Call for a walkthrough and estimate today.
If we can locate a break, we can fix it! In some cases a leak cannot be found and it’s time to replace that problematic water service with a new one. Action Plumbing always installs a new whole house cut off and service drain with every new line.
The outdoor shower is the number one fixture that gets a ton of use in the summer by owners and guest. We like to put our own custom spin on installs for flexibility, life of fixtures, and easy winterization. Action Plumbing also relocates and ads outdoor spigots for car washing, gardening, etc. Don’t forget the ever popular foot wash, a common must have for ocean walk overs, decks and pools.
